Cape Town City Ballet will present David Nixon’s electrifying full-length adaptation of Bram Stoker’s Dracula at the Artscape Opera House from 13–29 March 2026.

Set to music by Alfred Schnittke, Arvo Pärt, Sergei Rachmaninoff and Michael Daugherty, Nixon originally created Dracula in 1999 for BalletMet and over the years it has become one of his most celebrated narrative ballets, acclaimed for its cinematic Gothic atmosphere, theatrical invention and physically daring choreography.

Nixon, who will direct this new production bespoke to Cape Town City Ballet, is also responsible for the set, stage and costume design, ensuring every element reflects his visionary interpretation. The ballet will be performed to recorded music and PG12 is advised.
